24 February 2014 Letter

This past week was a little bit different than normal cause we had to take our car to the collision center to get the bumper fixed.  We were out of a car for a few days and had to get rides and walk a bunch.  It felt good to get out and do some walking, but it also stormed and rained a bunch on those days as well.  So convenient, huh.

On Thursday it started raining really heavy while we were out walking and i turned to Sister Woodbury and said "wow, can't get much harder down pour than that" and two seconds later it started coming down even harder and we just laughed.  As if God was out to prove me wrong.

We had fun reading with Nita every night from the Book of Mormon and we all went to Goodwill to find her some pretty church clothes to wear so she can get ready to go to the temple this year sometime.  We are so excited for her.  We were reading with her one night over the phone and we have a rule where if any of us lose track where we are reading at, then we have to read 2 verses as punishment.  Nita forgot where we were and then the next verse she started reading said, "Wo unto the deaf that will not hear; for they shall perish."  lol.  We were all laughing so hard.  Perfect timing of that scripture.

We don't have any investigators right now with baptismal dates, just some potentials that we are continuing to work with everyday.  I"ll let you know if that changes.

We went to the ward Potluck on Saturday and got to eat lots of yummy foods and meet more members of the ward and we also had a missionary fireside for the ward on Sunday night that was really good and really inspiring.  More people should have come to it than actually did.

I am adjusting well to being in Burlington and getting to know the area pretty quick and the people.  It is a great area to be serving in and the people are all really nice and always willing to help us.  The next 5 weeks here will be great.  Both me and sister Woodbury hope that we get to stay companions for more than just one transfer, maybe two or three, but she's already been here since November.

Thanks for any emails or letters anyone has sent me. I really enjoy hearing from you and reading them even though i don't always have the time to respond.
love you all and hope you have a wonderful week and things go well for you.

Sister Robertson
